Comrex ACCESS NX Rack. IP Audio Codec

Comrex ACCESS NX Rack. IP Audio Codec

El ACCESS NX Rack It features completely redesigned hardware, compatible with AES67, AES3, or analog audio inputs and outputs. The NX Rack can connect to Wi-Fi networks and 4G modems, and supports a wide range of connection protocols and audio codecs. It is managed through a new HTML5-based web interface. The ACCESS NX Rack is compatible with all Comrex IP audio codecs and Gagl.

When used in "bonding" mode, CrossLock allows you to manage and combine multiple data connections simultaneously. When a new network is added, CrossLock immediately assesses the available bandwidth and combines the connections to make the most of the available bandwidth. In redundant mode, all data is sent simultaneously across all networks.

Furthermore, CrossLock monitors each data connection individually and applies error correction, recovery, or fault compensation techniques as needed. Simply put, it's the most advanced network management tool on the market.

CrossLock's exceptional VPN technology

When used in "bonding" mode, CrossLock gives users the ability to manage and link multiple data connections simultaneously. When a new network is introduced, CrossLock immediately assesses the available bandwidth, taking into account latency and jitter information, and combines both connections to utilize the full available bandwidth. In redundant mode, all data is sent across all networks.

CrossLock also monitors each data connection individually and applies appropriate error correction, recovery, or hiding techniques as needed. It is, quite simply, the most advanced network management tool on the market today.

Configuration and control

El NX Rack It's controlled via a user-friendly interface; with any HTML5-compatible browser, you can log in from anywhere to manage settings, control parameters, and monitor connections. The page displays connection status, detailed network diagnostics, and audio level meters for remote monitoring. From any location, users can configure profiles for different connections with simple point-and-click connection commands.

In addition to the web interface, Codec Commander It's a Windows application that lets you control your audio codec. With it, you can manage connections, view statistics, see audio levels, adjust profiles, or modify system settings.

To control multiple Comrex IP codecs at once, you can use Fleet Commander (payment update).

TS Switchboard for NAT Traversal

Comrex Switchboard was created to simplify the connection between Comrex IP codecs. This is especially useful when transmitting over networks with firewalls, routers, or other IT barriers. Switchboard allows your codec to synchronize with a cloud server, enabling connections without needing to know the IP addresses at either end of the link.

Switchboard saves all the data of the codecs subscribed to the server, so when you want to connect, you don't need to enter any information: you just select the codec you want to connect with from a menu and click a button.

Switchboard is included with the purchase of any Comrex ACCESS IP audio codec.

HotSwap for backup

HotSwap allows you to back up studio-to-transmitter (STL) links or other dedicated links using a wireless modem. With ACCESS codecs like NX Rack, any compatible modem can be configured as a backup.

HotSwap allows you to select a backup network that only activates if the primary network fails. The system alerts you to this status via a contact and automatically switches back to the primary network when it is restored. Switching to the backup network happens in seconds, and the return to the primary network is completely seamless.

HotSwap is included in firmware v4.3 and higher. Visit the NX Rack support page for the latest firmware.

Accessories

Gagl

Gagl is a cloud-based remote contribution service that allows up to five users to send and receive audio from their smartphones or laptops. This audio is then processed by Gagl (if there is more than one user) and delivered to a Comrex IP codec (such as NX Rack).

Gagl is a great way to get guests on air from anywhere, easily.

Fleet Commander

Fleet Commander is a Windows application that lets you control multiple Comrex IP audio codecs simultaneously. Instead of logging into each codec individually and dealing with a desktop full of tabs, Fleet Commander puts you in command of your fleet of codecs through a unified interface.

This easy-to-use tool contains all the functionality of the web interface, plus some additional features such as active metering and the ability to copy pairs and profiles between codecs, making it a must-have for busy broadcast engineers.

Comrex Connect Modems

The Comrex Connect Modem is designed to meet the unique needs of remote broadcasters. A high-power, industrial-grade 4G/LTE modem equipped with a high-gain antenna, the Connect Modem is more powerful than most USB data modems on the market, enabling it to handle the heavy data loads of IP broadcasting.
